If they made the glue strong enough to hold the foam on better, it would destroy furniture. If you don't care about your furniture, go get some stronger glue and use that or buy the kits that screw in. For what it's worth, I've tried installing it at night and once I even left it for more that a week (installing prior to vacation). My kid has no problem pulling it off. It's like they're compelled to do it. ;) I even used rubbing alcohol on the surface first to make sure it would stick. The good news is that you can get the stuff off without damaging your furniture, the bad news is that it will be a pain in the butt to do. I recommend using Goo Gone - the orange oil version, not the harsher version that would damage your furniture's finish. If you plan to place the bumpers on again after, you MUST clean the surface with something that will remove all the oil. That said, it's a pretty easy product to... Cuts easy, tape is sticky and hasn't peeled off.
